Senior Pastor

Crossroads Church of Perry, a Global Methodist Church in Perry, GA is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our congregation over the next 7-10 years or more.

The successful candidate will have (but not limited to) the following qualifications and characteristics: 

1. Is (or willing to become) ordained with the Global Methodist Church and in good standing with current church.
2. Mid-career with 10-15 years in the pulpit. 
3. Ability to create and execute a vision for the future of our church. 
4. Capacity and willingness to relate effectively with children, youth, families and older adults. 
5. Focus on outreach shepherding, visitation and mentoring. 
6. Active community involvement with other churches, organizations, etc. 
7. Chief Executive Officer and Motivator with a track record of leading staff, increasing participation in worship, small groups, and community outreach.
8. A commitment to generosity and the joy of giving.
9. Preaching and teaching based on sound theological doctrine and applicable to the world in which we live, even when it’s challenging, uncomfortable, or unpopular. 
10. Mission minded, beginning with the local community. 
11. Plan and execute meaningful worship services utilizing the talents of staff and volunteers in the areas of children, youth, music, and older adults. 
12. A commitment to maintain and enhance the music, children’s and youth ministries that currently serve as strengths for church membership. 

In 1968, Crossroads was a brand new church with a big dream of becoming a church that welcomes imperfect people who were not actively involved in a church. Our first 50 years have been an amazing journey with hundreds of people finding greater hope, purpose and meaning in their lives here, and they’ve found that a church like this can quickly become a great place for personal connections and relationships that will last a lifetime.
