Next-Gen Director

Job Overview

Maadi Community church is seeking a full-time Next generation Director to lead and shepherd its thriving youth ministry through leading our Student Ministry (MCY), overseer administrative functions (including budgeting, equipping and leading volunteers), leading weekly youth gatherings and events. There should be a special emphasis on facilitating discipleship and pastoral care of the youth. The Next Gen Director provides overall leadership to the Student Ministry and oversees the Kids Ministry through supervision of the part-time Kids Director to ensure its consistency, mission focus, and leadership.

This person will be a relational, self-starting leader who works under pastoral supervision and actively carries the vision and values of MCC. The Youth Director will invest in students, develop volunteers, and ensure that teaching and programming are theologically sound, Christ-centered, and spiritually formative. The role will also provide opportunities to grow in teaching and preaching, including opportunities for preaching in Friday services (our main service).

Key Responsibilities

Student Ministry Leadership

• Provide vision, planning, and weekly leadership for Student gatherings
• Teach or coordinate biblically sound teaching
• Build, train, and shepherd a team of volunteer leaders
• Foster a welcoming and relational environment for students
• Plan events, retreats, and outreach opportunities
• Maintain communication with parents and families

Kid’s Ministry Oversight

• Supervise and support the part-time Kid’s Director
• Ensure theological consistency and alignment with MCC’s vision
• Encourage healthy volunteer development and ministry structure

Discipleship and Pastoral Care

• Build relationships with students and families
• Encourage spiritual growth, prayer, and engagement in church life
• Help students discover gifts, calling, and opportunities to serve

Team and Church Life

• Participate in staff meetings and ministry planning
• Support church-wide initiatives and special events
• Contribute to the overall health and culture of MCC

Qualifications and Characteristics

We are seeking someone who:

• Is a committed follower of Jesus Christ with evident spiritual maturity
• Is theologically grounded and able to teach Scripture faithfully
• Is relational and approachable with students and families
• Is a self-starter who works well as part of a team and collaborates effectively with staff and volunteers
• Is organized and able to lead teams and manage ministry details
• Has a heart for discipleship and developing leaders

Preferred:

• Experience in student ministry or pastoral ministry
• Biblical or ministry training
• Experience in cross-cultural or international settings
