Senior Pastor

Harrison Street Baptist Church of LaVista, NE is a Southern Baptist Church seeking a fulltime pastor to lead their church. A candidate must have at least a Bible College degree, although we would prefer a seminary degree, and have at least five years of ministry experience. We are seeking a man who easily and naturally connects with people of all ages, leads with a shepherd's heart, preaches gospel centered sermons, has experience in leading a transformative disciple-making process and enjoys interaction with the local community. Our church was started in 1961 in the home of Charlie Brown, one of our charter members.  Our first building was built in 1963 and the sanctuary was built in 1975.  Our current Pastor, Doug Hall, came in May, 2018.

We believe that families do better when every member knows Jesus. Our goal is to be a safe place for people to meet Jesus. You will receive a warm welcome and a practical message from the Bible. You will also receive the opportunity to grow in your faith by joining one of our small groups for children, youth, and adults.

Our worship services blend hymns and contemporary praise songs to help you worship.  They are kid-friendly and filled with fellowship, encouragement and a helpful sermon.
