Job Description

Help Shape a Next-Gen & Worship Ministry Built to Multiply

Christian Life Fellowship Church is a growing, Christ-centered church in the Monadnock Region of southwest New Hampshire. We are seeking a full-time Worship & Youth Pastor who is called to lead worship with excellence and shepherd the next generation with biblical clarity.

This is a foundational role. Our church is moving forward with a vision to see multiple church plants (10 locations) established over time. We are looking for a leader who can help build reproducible worship and youth ministry systems: ministries that are spiritually healthy, volunteer-powered, and scalable.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Loves Jesus, loves the local church, and loves working with youth!
  • Can lead contemporary worship with skill, style, and spiritual maturity
  • Teaches the Bible with conviction (including doctrine and apologetics)
  • Enjoys building teams, developing leaders, and strengthening ministry structure
  • Has pastoral potential and a desire to grow in leadership over time

About the Role

This is one combined position: you will provide leadership in both worship ministry and youth/children’s ministry oversight.

Current Weekly Rhythm

  • Youth Group: Mondays, 6:30–8:30 pm (weekly)
  • Children’s Ministry: Sundays during the service
  • Worship Team: practice before church + 2–3 additional rehearsals/month
  • Livestream: Sunday services streamed to YouTube and Facebook, with sermons uploaded to podcast platforms

Worship Ministry Responsibilities

You will lead and grow a contemporary worship ministry marked by excellence, humility, and spiritual depth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead worship on Sundays (contemporary style with full-band potential: guitars, drums, keys/piano, bass, vocalists, etc.)
  • Recruit, schedule, and shepherd musicians and vocalists
  • Plan sets, provide chord charts/resources in advance, and lead rehearsals
  • Develop a culture of worship team health: spiritual maturity, unity, preparation, and joy
  • Oversee tech ministry in coordination with volunteers: audio, visual, livestream, and presentation needs
  • Recruit and develop volunteers for sound, video, livestream, and related support roles

Youth Ministry & Children’s Oversight Responsibilities

You will disciple middle and high school students and provide oversight for children’s ministry in partnership with volunteers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and teach youth group weekly with clear, Bible-saturated instruction
  • Teach doctrine and apologetics in an age-appropriate, compelling way
  • Build relationships with students and families, cultivating trust and spiritual growth
  • Plan youth events and environments that deepen discipleship (including an annual camping trip)
  • Lead periodic service projects and outreach opportunities
  • Oversee children’s ministry on Sundays by supporting and developing volunteer leaders, curriculum, and safety structure
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned

Leadership & Team Culture

Christian Life Fellowship is led with a plurality of elders and a strong commitment to shared leadership, accountability, and spiritual health. We are looking for a pastor who:

  • Thrives on collaboration with elders and staff
  • Leads with humility, conviction, clarity, and initiative
  • Builds teams and develops leaders (not doing everything alone)
  • Brings ideas and innovation while staying anchored to biblical priorities

You will be an “up-front” leader in the life of the church, and it matters deeply to us that parents and families have confidence in the person shepherding their children and leading worship.

Doctrinal Commitments (Non-Negotiables)

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and the only way of salvation
  • Holds a high view of Scripture (authoritative, trustworthy, not reshaped by cultural pressure)
  • Affirms historic Christian moral teaching, including biblical marriage

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to lead contemporary worship: strong musical skill and vocal leadership
  • Proven experience working with youth and teaching Scripture faithfully
  • Comfortable with technology and able to oversee an advanced A/V and livestream environment
  • Ability to preach/teach in other contexts and preach on Sundays occasionally when needed
  • Bible training (degree not required; church-based training may be considered)

Additional Requirements

  • Background check and reference checks required
  • 4 references with phone numbers required
  • U.S. citizenship required
