The Pulpit Search Committee of First Christian Church, Pineville, KY, is currently seeking applications for a

minister whose ministry includes preaching, teaching, and serving the congregation and community. We are an

independent church with an attending congregation of about 50 people, and we are seeking to grow, especially with

young families.

The Minister of First Christian Church, Pineville, Ky, should provide spiritual and administrative leadership and use

pastoral care skills to meet the needs of our congregation and community, and to grow the church.  

Applicants should: 

 Have an in-depth knowledge of the Bible 

 Be prepared to lead the worship service and Bible Study through scripture with enthusiasm and optimism

 Possess the ability to effectively communicate Biblical truths

 Lead with the compassion of Jesus toward any and all people

 Be willing to become a part of the First Christian Church congregation as a member

In addition, Applicants should: 

 Support the purpose and mission of First Christian Church, Pineville, Ky, which is to lead people to Trust

Jesus by Faith alone for salvation and help them become actively involved with this church and community

while growing in grace and knowledge of Jesus and His Word.

Education and Experience 

 This position relies on biblical education, preferring a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the

theological disciplines.  

 Other degrees, associate degrees, certifications, or minors in related subject areas that would support the

ministry are a plus.  

 Prior experience is preferred but not required. The successful individual should have a proven record of

effective leadership and judgment, and strong moral and ethical character.
