God's Valley is a non-denominational Church plant based in Lemoore Ca. in the central valley california to focus on building the faith and inspiring everyone to follow and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are a community church that builds on reaching others. We are a church that builds on the Jesus Way, the way we act, teach, fellowship, and work to build the God’s Kingdom. Our Name is about that we need to remember that God’s here with us, walking with us in our bad, mistake, good and in our battles. That God will never leave us. We trust God in everything.
We are looking for people to plant churches around the world. You must be called and want to build a God Kingdom in your area.
SUMMARY:
The Church Planter primary objective is to develop and execute ministry plans for a new
church plant in alignment with the resident’s learning contract, and grow in pastoral, preaching/teaching,
and leadership skills. The church planter must be skilled in connecting with people and sharing the gospel
in a culturally relevant and contextualized way. Church planting requires strong visionary leadership and
the ability to multiply disciples who can reach others with the gospel. During the residency, the
church-plant pastor will learn the DNA of God’s Valley church and movement, grow in pastoral leadership, teaching, and evangelism, and work to build a healthy core team. The church planter must be
elder-qualified and have a clear conviction of God's calling to be a Lead Pastor
OUTCOMES AND RESULTS – SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION WILL RESULT IN:
- .A fully equipped, healthy, and established church planter who can plant a fully equipped, healthy, and established church.
- The planter gathers a core team of at least 5-10 individuals (in the area you are building) to help form a new church.
- God’s valley mission and vision move in your area.
- Leaders in the God’s valley to the new church plant or working with the leadership team of the God’s Valley help plant a guide our new location to build God’s kingdom.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High relational interpersonal skills in order to compassionately minister to cross-cultural and multi-ethnic demographics within the urban setting
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to develop and articulate a mission/vision, build support, and engage the church community in fulfilling its purpose.
- A creative, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to envision and revitalize, spearheading change as needed.
- Ability to train and equip lay elders and deacons within the church to implement that vision.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Pastor will provide active guidance and leadership in the following areas:
Visionary: Lead the church by casting the vision for ministry and motivating others to fulfill the vision. Continually seek God’s direction for engaging and cultivating a more diverse community that reflects God’s Kingdom.
Leadership: Oversee and support the staff, church leaders and deacons as they lead various ministries and functions on a regular basis. Guide staff in goal setting, leadership development, and spiritual direction. Work alongside the board of elders and lay elders in implementing church structure in accordance with the constitution and bylaws. Lead the congregation with a servant heart and respect. Encourage, empower, and develop future church leaders.
Worship: Plan meaningful personal and corporate worship experiences that bring people into the presence of an awesome and Holy God. Provide Gospel-centered and expository teaching and preaching based on Scripture. Coordinate with the worship leader, staff, and volunteers for Sunday services and special events. Celebrate by performing rites of passage, such as child dedications, baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
Prayer: Pray diligently for and with the church community and staff. Seek God’s direction in identifying and supporting those who need prayer.
Shepherding: Provide guidance and assistance to individuals in the church community. Exemplify compassion and love to all people and give counsel as needed. Guide leaders and others in the church to give care to those in need. It is also understood that the Pastor is not the sole member care provider; may refer individuals to church leaders, other church members, or professional resources.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build full ministry plans for a new church plant in alignment with God’s Valley church vision.
- Core Team Development (with prayer and support raising) to support the new church plant and church planter.
- Learning contract created, tweaked, and followed for the growth and health of the planter. Participate in and complete multiple learning and growth environments.
- In order for the resident to develop and prove their effectiveness at leading and overseeing ministries, as well as build relationships with potential core-team members, lead a key ministry at God’s Valley , helping it to flourish and develop a successful roll-off plan once planting becomes the primary focus.
- In order for the resident to understand God’s Valley Sunday serving structures, as well as build relationships with potential core-team members, lead Sunday morning ministry area(s).
- In order for the residents to develop and prove their effectiveness at being involved in several different ministries, as well as build relationships with potential core-team members, lead and participate in multiple ministry areas within the church that will help God’s Valley grow.
- For the resident to develop and prove their effectiveness at creating ministries, content, and material, as well as build relationships with potential core-team members, create a ministry “from scratch” to develop, and pass it off upon planting.
- Participate as a part of the preaching and teaching team and help develop and lead core events.
- Participate in and potentially lead a Life Group (LG) that would eventually multiply other LGs.
- Disciple various leaders and men within the church for their personal growth and health.
- Be active in sharing the gospel, participating in Disciple-Making groups.
- Develop a Missional Community or something equivalent in the planter's target area
- Create an environment that upholds the staff's core values and encourages camaraderie among teammates.
- Identifies areas of opportunity and proactively takes steps to improve in those areas.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Church Planting Mentor/Coach.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified “elder” based upon 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1; a man full of character.
- Works well with a team and desires to be a family, not just an organization.
- Strong theological framework and conviction about core Christian truths.
- A deep knowledge and passion for the Scriptures, and the ability to lead through them.
- A love for people far from God, and a deep desire and conviction to see them enter into the Family of God.
- A heart for the local church, and a conviction of the church’s importance in the reaching of the lost, equipping of the saints, and overall glory of God.
- Ability to disciple and develop leaders and the ability to help with discipleship in God’s valley system of spiritual formation.
- “Starter” personality: the ability to start and sustain new ministries and movements.
- A self-motivated person; doesn’t need to be told what to do, but rather sees a need, and wants to solve that need.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with elders, staff, and various lay leaders at God’s valley to help maintain vibrant communication.
- A person of action, encouragement, and faith.
- Can adequately handle God’s Word and both teach and preach the Word effectively.
- Ability to oversee various ministry leaders and staff to help them operate at full capacity.
- Proactive about being informed about what is coming & taking steps to solve potential problems before they arise.
