We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Director to lead and develop our youth programs, fostering a positive and engaging environment for young people to grow spiritually, socially, and personally. The Youth Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of activities and events designed to support the development of youth within our community. This role requires a passionate individual who is committed to mentoring and inspiring young individuals, helping them build strong values and a sense of belonging. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating impactful programming that meets the diverse needs of youth, collaborating with volunteers and community partners, and ensuring safety and inclusivity in all youth engagements. The Youth Director will also serve as a trusted resource and role model, providing guidance and support to youth as they navigate important life stages. Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee innovative youth programs and activities that align with the organization’s mission and goals
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and staff involved in youth ministry or programming
• Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, retreats, and special events
• Provide mentorship and pastoral care to youth, offering guidance and support through personal challenges
• Work collaboratively with parents, church leadership, and community organizations to enhance youth engagement
• Ensure all youth programming complies with safety policies and standards, maintaining a secure environment
• Manage program budgets, resources, and materials effectively to support youth activities
• Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of youth programs, making improvements as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, education, social work, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in youth leadership, ministry, or programming within a community or faith-based setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse youth populations
• Ability to mentor and provide emotional support to adolescents effectively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices in youth engagement
• Commitment to upholding the organization’s values and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all youth
• Certification in youth safety and child protection training is desirable
