Youth Leader
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Position Type: Part-time stipend, 26-27 school year
KVCC and our leadership take seriously our commitment to “following Jesus with sincere love in genuine community”. We are a community-focused Assembly of God congregation in the heart of Leechburg in Western Pennsylvania. We seek a Youth Leader to disciple and equip students (age 12-18) of KVCC to follow Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him, build supportive friendships, and reach out to their neighbors. The successful outcome of the ministry will be students taking their next steps in following Jesus within a supportive community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support the vision, direction, and leadership of KVCC under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
2. Provide a weekly youth program to accomplish the primary goal of the ministry, helping students follow Jesus, while they also build supportive peer relationships and reach out to their friends.
3. Provide or oversee regular discipleship and community building for the students.
4. Provide or oversee outreach to students who are outside of the group.
5. Coordinate or oversee the coordination of special activities.
6. Lead a team of volunteers to partner in the ministry.

SPIRITUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Each leader at KVCC is to be a mature follower of Jesus, serve their family well, serve in passion-driven, gift-aligned ministry, be committed to membership at Kiski Valley Community Church, and exhibit the characteristics of a deacon (1 Timothy 3:8-13). The Youth Leader additionally needs to have experienced the discipleship and biblical education necessary to lead spiritually and teach the scripture.
QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES:
· Evangelism and Discipleship: Competency and passion for sharing the gospel and making disciples
· Relational Leadership: Strong ability to connect with students age 12-18 and their families
· Team Builder: Ability to equip students and adults for impactful ministry
