General Description

The mission of Eastside Baptist Church is to impact lives in Spirit, Truth and Harmony for the Kingdom of God.

We are looking for a pastor who will serve as the spiritual leader of the church. He will shepherd and lead the congregation as well as equip the church staff and church ministries to carry out their responsibilities.

Qualifications

1. Meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9

2. Preferred, not required: has a Master’s degree from a seminary or like-minded institution or has taken some seminary training and classes

3. Be in full agreement with our statement of faith (The Baptist Faith and Message 2000)

4. Preferred, not required: has a minimum of 5 years of pastoral and leadership experience (including lead pastor, youth pastor, associate pastor, etc.)

5. Possesses a love for God and people, is lead by the Holy Spirit and prayerfully makes decisions, and possesses a strong Biblical knowledge.

Responsibilities

1. Lead in shepherding the congregation by overseeing the pastoral and ministerial duties (counseling, marriage, funeral, preaching, and teaching)

2. Preach expositional sermons

3. Work with and lead deacons and committees for the service and ministry of the church

4. Lead staff and volunteers for the ministry of day-to-day operations, including planning and leading worship services

5. Work with staff to lead the congregation in the overall vision and ministry of the church to the surrounding area

Compensation

Salary package of $50,000+ 

Housing is provided if needed
