Job Description

The Operations & Family Ministries Coordinator supports the day-to-day administrative and congregational life of the church while also helping coordinate children, youth, and family ministries.

This role focuses on:

  • church operations and organization,
  • Sunday worship coordination,
  • volunteer communication,
  • family ministries support,
  • and helping create a welcoming and organized congregational environment.

Core Responsibilities

Church Operations & Administration

  • Prepare and distribute weekly church communications and newsletters using existing templates and systems
  • Maintain church calendar systems and scheduling
  • Coordinate worship slides and Sunday morning materials
  • Respond to general church communications and inquiries
  • Help maintain organized office systems and shared files
  • Coordinate building use communication and scheduling with outside groups
  • Support logistical coordination for church events and meetings
  • Maintain congregational database and attendance records
  • Maintain basic communication updates for newsletters, social media, and website announcements using existing church templates and systems

Family Ministries Coordination

  • Coordinate volunteers for children and youth programming
  • Help organize and support Sunday morning children’s programming
  • Communicate regularly with families and volunteers
  • Help create welcoming and consistent experiences for children and youth
  • Assist with curriculum preparation and classroom organization
  • Support occasional intergenerational or family ministry events

Sunday Morning Support

  • Serve as part of the Sunday morning leadership support team
  • Help ensure worship spaces, materials, and children’s areas are prepared
  • Assist with hospitality, communication, and coordination needs as they arise
  • Help create a welcoming environment for visitors, children, and families
