Children's Minister

First Baptist Church Colbert Heights in Tuscumbia, AL is seeking to hire a full time Children’s Minister to lead our growing Pre-K through 5th grade ministry of 60-80 children. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and compiling a biblical and doctrinally sound teaching curriculum for Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and Wednesday nights; recruiting and developing volunteers; managing the ministry calendar and coordinating events such as camp, VBS, etc.; and managing the overall trajectory of the children’s ministry. 

Successful candidates must be professing Christians who enthusiastically support FBCCH’s identity, mission, vision, goals, and core beliefs; and who are able to articulate their testimony and a clear calling to the role of Children’s Minister. They will also have experience supervising and managing others; have effective relational skills and work well with others; be teachable, flexible, and adaptable, with a desire to grow in their faith and abilities; and have a passion for children’s ministry. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited bible college or seminary. Compensation will be based on education and experience.
