Worship Leader (Volunteer) | Logos Church Denver

Help us lead a church into worship, starting from the very first song.

Logos Church Denver is a new church plant launching January 2027 in the heart of downtown Denver. We'll be meeting at the Museum of Illusions on the 16th Street Mall. We're looking for a worship leader to help shape the heart of our gathering from day one.

A quick, honest word about the "volunteer" part

This is an unpaid position. We know every volunteer posting says "we hope this becomes a paid role someday," and we know how that sounds. But it's true. Our hope and intention is to grow this into a paid position as the church grows, and we'd love for the right person to be here for that whole story. You'd also be getting in on the ground floor, which is a rare chance to build something rather than inherit it.

What you'd be doing (about 10 hours a week)

• Choose the songs for each Sunday service, in step with the Lead Pastor and the sermon
• Put the songs in ProPresenter in the right order so Sunday runs smoothly
• Recruit and build a worship team of vocalists and musicians from scratch
• Run rehearsals and help the team grow together
• Partner closely with the pastor

There's no pressure to build a massive team overnight. We're starting small and simple, and we'd rather grow it well than fast.

Who we're looking for

• A spiritually mature believer with a real, living walk with the Lord
• Someone who can affirm our beliefs. Please read the Beliefs page at logoschurchdenver.org before applying.
• A skilled vocalist who can lead on piano or guitar
• Humble, flexible, and genuinely excited about what God is doing here
• Band-leading experience is a bonus but not required. We're not looking for perfection, just proficiency and a desire to keep growing.

What we want our worship to be

Genre matters less to us than conviction. We're looking for a leader who believes what they're singing and who leads the congregation there with them. That's what makes worship worthwhile, and it's what we want Sundays at Logos to be.

We want worship that is Spirit-led but grounded: theologically sound, centered on Christ, and rooted in our relationship with Him. This means singing songs that remind us of the truth of who God is and draw us closer to Him. We're open to a wide range of styles, but they must be carried by musicianship that moves naturally from one song to the next and makes room to linger when the Spirit is moving.

Where this could go

This role works under the Lead Pastor. As Logos grows, we hope to grow this role into a position with more responsibility and a bigger part in shaping the life of the church.

Timeline

We'd love for you to be leading by our opening service on January 3, 2027. If you can join us earlier to build relationships with the team and the church family, even better.
