Worship Leader

Gracepointe Church (formerly Hacienda Heights Baptist Church) exists to help people far from God come near to Christ. Located in Hacienda Heights, CA just 20 minutes from Biola University, 25 minutes from APU and 30 minutes from downtown LA. This is a church revitalization as we dig into God’s Word and bring the hope of Christ to our community. Since our new Pastor began in the latter part of 2024, we have seen growth over the past year from 30 to 70 average weekly attendees at our 10:30am worship experience. Our Monday-Friday preschool has 40-60 children enrolled. Awana has grown from 10 to 35 children. Last summer we saw 77 kids grow in Christ at our summer day camp called WinShape (started by the founder of Chick-fil-A) and we’re gearing up for another great camp this summer. Recently, we have invested significant resources into upgrading our sound system. We are passionate about asking “What is the faith of the next generation worth to us?” We are experiencing new momentum reaching young families and now curious to see God’s provision of a gifted worship leader who is passionate about our mission and using music to lead people to Christ. The Worship Leader (PT) is responsible for leading and building the worship experience at Gracepointe Church.

• Plan, organize and spiritually lead engaging worship services and special events
• Recruit, train, and build a team of skilled musicians and vocalists
• Sharpen musical and technical abilities in an ongoing way
• Provide one-on-one support to team members, nurturing their spiritual growth and well being
• Collaborate with the Lead pastor to ensure worship aligns with the vision and desired outcome
• Oversee the technical and creative aspects of worship production, continually enhancing quality and innovation
• Stay updated on technological advancements, implementing relevant changes that produce a high impact return

• Ability to develop an understanding of band dynamics, worship environment production, and ministry teamwork in a worship team setting

• Experience with keys, guitar, and/or other instruments
• Effective at multi-tasking, time management, and following up

• Exceptional talent vocally to lead a worship experience
• Maintain composure during stressful situations
• Other duties as assigned

Mission Critical Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate, support and fulfill the mission, vision, core values, and goals of Gracepointe Church
• Help build a volunteer team who collectively and individually accomplishes same
• Maintain open and frequent communication with your supervisor, staff and team

Hours: 20 per week

Compensation Range: $26.00/hr - $31.00/hr
