OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
PRINCIPLE FUNCTION
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing duties as related to the pastoral and church ministries, under the supervision of the Lead Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A personal relationship with Christ and a sense of God's call
• An on-going student of the Bible
• Membership and commitment to a local protestant church
• Friendly demeanor and team player
• Evidence of Christian morals and ethics through a personal/family lifestyle
• Experienced in computer literacy and skills including website and social media
• Affirmation of the mission and core values of Mount Moriah Baptist Church
• Have a spirit of Christian love, interest, and fellowship with other people
Administrative & Communication Duties
Coordinate church communications including letters, emails, prayer requests, newsletters, calendars,
committee/deacon communications, and other member communications.
· coordinate facility and wedding agreements, including payments, scheduling, and communication with
the appropriate liaisons, treasurers, custodians, and groundskeepers.
· coordinate member care and life-event communications, including notifications regarding illnesses and deaths and arrangements related to funerals, burials, and bereavement ministry.
Develop and distribute promotional materials and maintain the church’s social media presence as
directed by ministry staff.
Maintain church records and files, including membership, prospects, attendance, offering totals, and
other information needed by the pastor and church leadership.
Manage office operations, including mail, correspondence, filing, office organization, equipment,
supplies, and coordination with the treasurer and financial secretary.
Maintain and publicize the church calendar, including print and online calendars, facility reservations,
and van scheduling.
Prepare and distribute weekly and special-event bulletins and other worship-related materials.
Support membership processes, including preparing new-member packets and maintaining related
records.
Recruit, schedule, and train office volunteers as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
