Associate Pastor of Antioch Church

Report to: Matt Wilson, Senior Pastor
Job Summary:
The Associate Pastor will help lead and oversee our student ministries, weekly bible studies, and life groups. He will provide general pastoral duties including preaching, teaching, counseling, discipling, and encouraging those whom he is leading. At Antioch, we place a high value on the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word in all walks of life. We desire for the position of Associate Pastor to be a man who will work with the Senior Pastor, Elders and Church so that he can equip and encourage everyone to know Christ and follow Him.
Duties Include:
1. Be an example of Christ and love others as the Lord shows us in His Word.
2. Lead and oversee students by organizing, developing, equipping, training, and executing Antioch Church goals and objectives.
3. Help lead a team of volunteers to work with students.
4. Oversee and equip faithful Bible study and small group leaders.
5. Serve the church family as needed with funerals, weddings, membership meetings, pastoral care, counseling, and discipleship.
6. Serve as part of the teaching team at Antioch.
7. Manage and oversee certain budgets in the church.
8. Participate in weekly staff meetings.
9. Be familiar with programs such as Planning Center, Proclaim, and Vimeo.
10. Be familiar with basic computer skills.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Has a deep love for Christ and God’s Word. Desires to live a life of integrity and is faithfully following Christ.
2. Has some college experience or ministry training.
3. Is called to full-time ministry, loves people, and has a passion for evangelism and outreach.
4. Can teach and train people so that they may grow in their faith.
5. Is self-motivated and possesses relational skills with students, adults, and staff.
6. Has strong communication skills.
7. Can work as a team player and is always willing to listen and take helpful advice.
8. Is committed to Antioch’s Statement of Faith, beliefs, and distinctives.
Full-Time Position: The average week requires full-time staff to work anywhere between 40-60 hours a week.
