The Opportunity

We’re looking for a spiritually grounded and musically capable Worship Leader to lead our Sunday worship and help our volunteers succeed.

This person will contribute to North Point’s growth by creating worship experiences that are warm, engaging, well prepared, and accessible to both committed believers and spiritually curious guests.

What You’ll Do

• Lead worship during both Sunday morning services.
• Lead a weekly rehearsal that prepares the team musically and builds confidence.
• Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor to select songs and plan transitions, worship moments, and service flow.
• Prepare set lists, keys, arrangements, tracks, and other essential information in time for the team to prepare.
• Use Planning Center to organize music and communicate with the worship team.
• Lead with warmth and authenticity, helping the congregation participate without pressure or manufactured emotion.

What We’re Looking For

• A committed follower of Jesus who supports North Point’s mission, beliefs, values, and approach to worship.
• A capable vocalist who can lead worship while playing guitar or keyboard.
• Strong musical instincts and the ability to lead a contemporary worship band.
• A warm, energetic, and authentic platform presence.
• Dependable, prepared, teachable, and able to communicate clearly.
• Comfortable receiving direction and collaborating closely with the Lead Pastor.
• Available for both Sunday services, a weekly evening rehearsal, and regular planning and preparation.

This is an entry-level ministry opportunity. Previous church employment, formal ministry education, and several years of worship-leading experience are not required. We’re open to an emerging leader with strong musical ability, good character, positive energy, and a desire to grow.

Experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter, multitracks, volunteer musicians, or modern congregational worship is helpful but not required.

Schedule, Compensation, and What We Offer

• $20 per hour
• Up to 40 paid hours per month
• Flexible preparation hours outside of Sunday services, rehearsals, and meetings
• Coaching and leadership development from the Lead Pastor
• An established team of committed volunteers, equipment, and ministry systems
• Room to bring your own creativity and help shape the future of worship at North Point
• The possibility for the position to grow as the church’s resources grow

The role is intentionally focused on Sunday worship, weekly rehearsal, service planning, and essential preparation. Primary oversight of production, livestreaming, equipment, extensive administration, and most church events is handled separately.

You won’t be expected to build the worship ministry alone. North Point is small enough for your leadership to make a visible difference and growing enough for you to help shape where we go next.
