Facility Operator / Custodian

Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ is looking for a full-time Facility Operator / Custodian to maintain the church’s buildings, grounds, equipment and common areas. This position provides hands-on support for the daily operation of the church campus and assists with preparing facilities for worship services, ministry programs, meetings, special events, weddings, funerals, and other church activities. The position requires being on site approximately 32 to 40 hours per week depending on the church’s needs and the agreed-upon schedule.  Must demonstrate reliability, dependability, strong work ethic, perform physical custodial and facility management duties, work independently, manage time effectively, willingness to work some evenings, weekends, potential holidays and perform general handyman work. Starting pay up to $23.00 an hour commensurate with experience. Zion is an open and welcoming congregation committed to justice, welcome, and serving our community.
