Senior Pastor

Silver Valley Baptist Church is a small but healthy church in Yermo, Ca. Our Church just celebrated our 38th year as a Church and is well established and well respected in our area. Our current Pastor is moving to take another position in January and has really helped the Church grow in health and in number. Our Church averages about 45 folks between youth and adults. We have three weekly services, a teen ministry, and a children's outreach. We also have a monthly food distribution, and a monthly community meal that is very well attended by the folks around.

This is the perfect ministry for a first time Pastor or a Pastor that is looking to settle in for retirement. Our building is only eight years old as our previous building was burned down. It is a very nice facility. The people here are all very easy going and have genuine love for the Lord, each other, and for their community. The Church has been steadily growing over the last three years, and I believe that the Churches best days are ahead with the right leadership.

We are accepting resumes until Nov. 27th. We will begin interviews in December, and have the candidate come to preach on Dec. 14th or 21st. We would like our new Pastor to start sometime in January 2027.

We are able to provide the pastor's family a four bedroom parsonage that sits on a large lot. It is in the process of being updated but is very nice. We will provide $500 a month to pay for utilities as well as a $32,000 yearly salary.

Job description:

• Have genuine love for the Lord, His Word, and for people. Then maintain that...
• Lead our services: Sunday school. Sunday Worship service. Thursday Bible Study. Sunday night teens. Wednesday kids outreach.
• Spirit filled preaching and a deep prayer life.
• Lead our monthly outreach events.
• Lead our Quarterly teen and adult trips/activities.
• Plan our yearly calendar.
• Lead our team of elders as we facilitate God's Church.
• You will be expected to be in the office and available about 25 hours a week.
• Lead our volunteers in their ministries.
• Playing an instrument to lead the music service would be a huge plus.....
• Develop and maintain a great relationship with the folks around town. (You will be everyone's Pastor)
• Passionately pray, pursue, and promote our Church to grow in health, in number, and in knowledge of God's Word.
