Located in the prettiest part of Colorado next to the best ski town in Colorado (Crested Butte) and in a sweet college town, Gunnison, CO is an amazing place where God is moving. New Song has been active in Gunnison Valley since the 70s and is in the midst of a rebirthing. We are looking for someone young who can lead and build a worship culture and team, stirring a people hungry for the things of God. We would love for you to join us to see God awaken this small town and college campus with the good news of Jesus. 

Qualifications

• Member of New Song Church
• A daily pursuit of Christian Maturity
• Commit to one year of training, education, and ministry participation at New Song Church

Responsibilities

• Commit to learning, growing, and serving as a staff member of New Song Church
• Specifically, the work of a resident is to serve missionally towards the campus and to grow in ministry capacity and competency as a worshiper as you discern future opportunities
• Commit to theological education through participating in guided seminary type assignments
• Learn, engage with, and help shape personal theology weekly
• Participate as a faithful student by turning in assignments on time with work completed to the best of their ability
• Meet with students each week
• Participate in the vision and execution of mission trip to campus and gospel follow-up efforts
• Attend one to two national worship or college ministry conferences each year

If you are interested in ministry work and are willing to work part-time with New Song in Gunnison for at least a year, we would love to walk alongside you to see you learn, grow, and flourish in amazing ways, not only in your specific area of ministry but also in any other area of passion, conviction, or calling. I personally believe in maximally empowering and supporting people to walk out their unique story in serving God and others. We will brainstorm, support, encourage, and connect you in any way we can to support your growth in ministry.

Our deep and constant prayer for you would be that you grow not only in your ministry proficiency but in your overflowing love for Jesus, and that your year+ working with New Song would be nothing less than a life-changing, life-affirming, life-giving year of growing ever-nearer to Jesus in both skill and heart.

We will also help you fundraise for the position. Fundraising is an undervalued skill applicable in many areas of life, and we would help you in giving assigned readings, providing letter templates, encouraging follow-ups, etc. All donations to the church in your name would go directly toward your pay.
