Worship Pastor

Church 0419 Worship leads people to encounter Jesus, respond in love, and follow Him beyond the music. We do this by leading Christ-centered, Spirit-led gatherings rooted in Scripture, marked by authenticity, and inviting full participation.

The Worship Pastor leads and develops the worship ministry by cultivating teams, planning and leading gatherings, and creating environments that help people meet, love, and follow Jesus.

Position Essentials

• Minimum of two years experience leading and developing a worship team in a church setting.
• Strong musical and vocal ability with the skill to lead confidently from the platform.
• Clear and engaging communicator who is comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and grow musicians, vocalists, and creatives both spiritually and practically.
• Willing and able to navigate healthy conflict, address issues directly, and lead difficult conversations with grace.
• Demonstrates a servant-hearted approach and spiritual maturity within a team environment.
• Possesses a strong musical and production ear, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback that leads to growth.
• Has a knowledge of Digital Audio Consoles. Possesses a musical ear for mixing a full band.
• Comfortable using the key software platforms required for track building, worship leadership, and team communication.

• Team builder: Recruits, develops, and empowers volunteers and leaders to grow in their gifts and calling.
• Relationally aware: Demonstrates emotional intelligence, communicates well, and responds with wisdom under pressure.
• Teachable and growth-minded: Welcomes feedback, pursues development, and continually seeks to improve.
• Creative and forward-thinking: Brings thoughtful ideas and practical innovation to enhance worship and ministry environments.
• Technically capable: Comfortable with worship technology, production systems, and the tools needed for effective gatherings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the musical experience in weekly gatherings and special events.
• Insert the weekly sets in Planning Center 4-5 weeks in advance.
• Make sure all resources are available for your team (Tracks, chord/number charts, band notes, tutorials)
• Lead midweek practices and ensure the weekend service plan runs smoothly from call time to final dismissal.
• Assist with pastoral care and support duties.
• Recruit, develop, and disciple worship and creative team members in both their spiritual lives and practical skills.
• Serves as an engaged member of the Church 0419 team, working across ministries to support shared goals and needs.
• Support and help lead the youth worship team, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and culture of worship.
