Destin Methodist church has three unique Sunday worship services. We have a beach service that meets at 7:30am, a contemporary service at 9:30am in our Life Center, and a Traditional service at 11am in our Sanctuary.
Job Summary:
Destin Methodist Church is seeking a full-time Worship Production Director.
This position's main responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of the technical and production elements (i.e. audio, media, lighting, streaming, stage design) of worship services and events to ensure a seamless and engaging worship experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for facilitating meaningful worship experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Production: Plan, coordinate, and execute all technical aspects of worship services, including media, audio, video, lighting, streaming and stage setup.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers and staff involved in the production process.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and troubleshoot all production equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and up to date.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the worship team, pastors, and other ministry leaders to support the vision and goals of the church.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage schedules for production team members, ensuring adequate coverage for all services and events.
-Event Support: Provide technical support for special events, conferences, and other church-related activities.
- Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in worship production, continuously seeking ways to improve and innovate for in-person and online services.
- Budgeting: Assist the Worship Pastor in the development and management of the production budget.
Qualifications/Expectations:
- Faith: A committed follower of Jesus Christ, with a heart for worship and ministry.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years in a similar role, preferably within a church, ministry setting or touring ministry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in audio mixing, video production, lighting design, and stage management. Experience with relevant software and hardware.
- Leadership: Lead and manage a volunteer team.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Punctual: Be on time.
- Creativity: Creative vision and ability to bring new and current ideas to enhance worship experiences.
-Follow Through: Carry out tasks or assigned projects to completion by the time frame or deadline given.
- Prudent: Be prepared in advance for church services, church events and foreseeable future problems. Have all worship production projects and plans (media, stage setup, sound, lighting) completed before the day of the Worship services or church event.
- Attitude: Exhibits positive and friendly attitude to both staff and volunteers. Easy to work with.
