Job Description

Inland Baptist Church

Our mission is to worship God, to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, to develop them to maturity in Christ, to equip them to minister their gifts in His church, fulfill their mission in the world and magnify God’s name in everything.

Inland Baptist Church was founded in 1977 at the current location. The church property is located on Honor Highway (US 31) providing high visibility to those traveling in beautiful Northwest Michigan that God has created, and twenty-five miles southwest of Traverse City, MI. Benzie County, Michigan is a beautiful part of Michigan with many outdoor activities enjoyable in any season, whether young or mature, and for the entire family.

This is an independent Baptist church. We are small with a big heart, prayerful and have a fervent desire to serve our Lord and share the Gospel. We trust in the Divine guidance of our Lord, knowing He has already selected the new pastor. The current membership is nine, with another nine regular attendees. We currently have an Interim Pastor since mid-October. He is a retired local pastor from a like-minded church ten miles west of Inland Baptist Church. Since then, the regular Sunday attendance has been 30 to 40, and has seen fifty on occasion. Wednesday night prayer and Bible study had an attendance of 3-5 during the winter and has grown to eleven. The Church currently supports seven missionaries financially and remains in continuous contact with and pray for seven other missionaries. Individuals support additional missionaries.
