Children’s Ministry Pastor

Capital Life Church was founded in 2002 by Pastors Bill and Lisa Shuler in the heart of our nation’s capital. We are a nondenominational, Spirit-filled church with a calling to reach people from every walk of life — from those who feel overlooked or forgotten to national leaders and the international community. Our mission is to love God authentically, grow together intentionally, and serve others sacrificially.

We are seeking a Children’s Pastor (Female) who will lead and grow a dynamic, Spirit-led children’s ministry that partners with families and builds strong biblical foundations in the next generation. In alignment with our ministry vision and leadership structure, we are specifically seeking a female pastor for this role. This individual will provide vision, pastoral leadership, and strategic oversight for all aspects of children’s ministry, including curriculum development, volunteer recruitment and training, special events, and family engagement. The ideal candidate carries a genuine love for children, a heart for discipleship, and the leadership capacity to cultivate a safe, joyful, and spiritually vibrant environment where children encounter God and grow in their faith in a culturally influential city.

and to bring them into maturity through a working knowledge of the Bible.

How it all started...

Dr. Bill Shuler and his family moved to the Washington, D.C. area on September 1, 2001 with a call from God to pioneer a ministry. Ten days later the Nation’s Capital and the world were shaken by terrorist strikes on the Pentagon and World Trade Center. In response to these tragic events, on September 12, 2001 a national headquarters for prayer was leased one block from the U.S. Capitol building. These early events helped to fashion the DNA of a people passionate to pray, and eager to minister those who come to the nation's capital.

On August 1, 2002 a new, life-giving, interdenominational church was launched. Looking back, it is evident that God's hand was at work laying a foundation, divinely and strategically calling and placing individuals, and carving out a space in Arlington for this growing community of Christ followers. Capital Life Church is filled with people who are experiencing victorious life in Jesus Christ and who have a vision to see the DC Metro area filled with the presence and power of God.
