Children’s Minister (Full-Time)

Position Overview

Preston Ridge Church is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister to lead and grow our ministry to children

(birth–5th grade) and their families. This leader will create gospel-centered environments, equip

parents, and build volunteer teams that disciple the next generation.

Key Responsibilities

Sunday Morning Ministries

• Lead and oversee Children’s Life Groups (birth–5th grade).

• Plan and coordinate Children’s Worship Hour during the main worship service.

• Ensure engaging, age-appropriate, gospel-centered teaching.

Volunteer Leadership

• Recruit, train, and shepherd a strong team of volunteers.

• Provide leadership development and ongoing communication.

Midweek Ministry

• Lead Wednesday night children’s outreach programs during the school year.

• Create engaging programs that reach both church families and the community.

Ministry Planning & Events

• Develop and manage an annual children’s ministry calendar.

• Plan seasonal events, outreach opportunities, and family discipleship moments.

Administration & Stewardship

• Manage the children’s ministry budget and resources.

• Maintain classroom environments and ensure child safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• A clear personal faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to Christian character.

• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

• Demonstrated experience serving in children’s ministry leadership.

• Passion for discipling children and partnering with families.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation

Full-Time Position • Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually (based on experience)
