Worship leader

Cornerstone Christian Church is seeking a worship leader to join our church family and take part in our effort to bring glory to the name of Christ by using their talents and Spiritual gifts.

Cornerstone is a culturally and generationally diverse church in the Dallas area. The mission of Cornerstone is to instruct and disciple, to edify and encourage all believers, to show the love of God to all people through the power of the Holy Spirit, and to stand faithful until the Lord's return. God's purpose of Cornerstone Christian Church is to worship Him and give Him glory, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and declare His Truth throughout the earth through the generous support for missionaries in our local community and around the globe as well as reaching out to our own community.

o Strong personal commitment to the Christian faith reflected and demonstrated by the faithful attending to spiritual disciplines like prayer, rigorous Bible study and consistent fellowship of believers.

o Unwavering submission to the Word of God as the ultimate authority for Christian living

· Philosophical

o Sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading

o Effectively combines songs of praise and adoration with a Christ-centered theme

o Places a high value on corporate worship and encourages broad church participation in worship

o Comfortable with a blend of contemporary choruses and traditional hymns; God is the ultimate audience

· Proficiency

o Able to lead multiple voices and harmonies of small ensembles and choir

o Ability to lead a volunteer band ensemble of guitar, bass, drums, flute and piano

o Comfortable with multiple musical genres and able to inspire joyful participation from a culturally and generationally diverse congregation,

o Oversee/ coordinate special events and programs, i.e. dramas, cantatas, etc.

o Prepare/provide necessary chord charts and vocal charts/ sheet music for band and choir using resources like songselect.com and others provided by Cornerstone
