Job Title: Technical Director

Reports to: Pastor

Hourly Pay Rate $20-25, depending upon experience

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in working with the audio/visual/computer equipment that the church uses in worship and special services

• Teachable and able to receive instruction

• Have an active Christian faith journey

• A highly motivated self-starter

• Has a passion and understanding for bringing their technology skills to a worship setting

• Team player with effective relational skills

• Streaming experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Job Description:

• This is a part-time position, involving roughly 5 hours/week on Sunday mornings with occasional additional hours.

• Take care of sound and media for two worship services—one contemporary (Sunburst worship service) and one traditional.

• Be present for Sunday morning worship services (7:30 am -12:00 pm) and for any special services (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, funerals, weddings, etc.). Dress for the services may be business casual. May be required for Sunburst rehearsals on the first Thursday evening of every month.

• Work with the Worship Leader of Sunburst and Director of Music from the traditional service to prepare media for weekly services. This typically

happens through the use of Planning Center Online.

• Run the live- streaming technology for our online worship

• Train volunteers on the technical team to understand the technology and build an understanding of our media and sound equipment

• Must communicate planned absences to the Pastor at least two weeks in advance of the absence and arrange for a replacement .
