Youth Pastor

We are looking for a godly man with a supportive family whose visionary role would be to develop the systems and structures to support multi-generational discipleship in the church and the community.

Ministry Responsibilities

Coordinating the Youth Group

• Overseeing the High School/Junior High ministry in the church by developing a strong leadership team of both parents and students.

• Coordinating the various teams within the youth ministry like the youth worship team, youth leaders, parent leaders, and event planning.

• Beginning with the Youth Group, build a culture that prioritizes discipleship and outreach.

• Connecting with students and parents throughout the week.

• This ministry area will consist of 70% of the weekly hours.

Family Ministry

• Coordinating with our children’s ministry leaders and the young adult ministry to help us collectively raise up disciples in the Lord from infancy to adulthood.

• Working with other leaders to help equip families to have strong marriages and be equipped to disciple their children at home.

Preaching and Teaching

• Gifted to regularly teach and preach the Word of God to students and their families.

• Gifted to occasionally fill in preaching for the Lead Pastor.

• Possesses a solid understanding of the Scriptures and Theology in order to humbly handle the Word of God.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of an annual budget for Youth Ministry and manage the budget throughout the fiscal year.

• Other tasks as needed.

Education Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies or related field, or equivalent ministry experience

• 3-5 years of experience in student ministry leadership role

Qualifications

• Godly character: humble, gracious, honest, and hospitable.

• Agrees with the Lighthouse Statement of Faith and attempts to follow Jesus with integrity in every aspect of their lives.

• Has a healthy marriage and family.

• Relational and people-oriented.

• Excellent teaching, organizational, and leadership skills.

Hours Benefits

The Pastor will be classified as a full-time employee. Benefits offered will be consistent with the current policy for benefits, paid time off (PTO), and holidays. This is a minimum 40-hour-per-week position. Salary will be based on experience and current financial trends in the Tri-Cities area.
