Kids Ministry Director

This is a crucial position in the ministry of Connect Church and is influential in developing kids for the future. They will lead and coordinate the ministries for kids birth through 5th grade. They will work with, coordinate and recruit volunteers in our 3 kids ministry areas (Nursery, Pre-K K and Elementary) to provide relevant, age-appropriate learning opportunities that connect them to Jesus. They will create and implement creative solutions that draw more families to church through kids ministry and encourage spiritual practices for families to grow in their relationship with Christ and each other.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a born again, baptized believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

• Is a good Christian role model and person of character that loves kids, regardless of who they are, where they come from or what they believe.

• Is an authentic and transparent person. They must maintain the highest standard of personal purity. There is a lack of autonomy and a zero tolerance policy. They must be willing to undergo a mandatory background investigation.

• Creative and relevant communication skills and ideas.

• Good attitude, a self-starter but thrives on a team.

• A life time learner with a strong work ethic and an attitude of excellence.

• Self-motivated- ability to take initiative, exceptional organization and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize.

• Faithfulness - is expected to be there on Sundays, Wednesdays and events as much as possible.

• Firm grasp of available digital tools and platforms for live presentations as well as social media space.

• Enthusiasm and passion for the mission, vision and core values of Connect Church.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the Nursery, Pre-K K and Elementary Kids Ministries

• Lead, recruit, train and oversee kids ministry volunteers

• Is able to prepare and deliver live talks that are relevant to kids.

• Plan, oversee and coordinate all kids activities, programs and services. This will also apply to VBS, camps or other special events.

• Establish annual goals, objectives to implement in the kids ministry strategies.

• Work in conjunction with website and social media marketing.

• Create a culture that is relevant and attractive to kids and families.

• Work in conjunction with the Youth Ministry in providing opportunities for students to serve.

• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling as called upon.

• Maintain open communication with church staff, parents and members of the congregation.

• Work well with parents in the process of building the kids ministry.

• Assist in the development of an annual budget for kids ministry and manage spending.

• Adhere to By Laws and policies set forth in Connect Church’s employee policy manual.
