Director of Operations

Position Overview
· Utilize business experience and acumen to oversee and develop Operational aspects of M1 Church, including: Facility management, human resources, risk management, liaison to outsourced Bookkeeping firm, project management, financial stewardship (A/P, donations).
· This role does not require expertise in finance and bookkeeping; however, competency with financial statements and organizational budget oversight and management is a must.
· Ensure operations, programs, and policies reflect the values of the church.

Details: Oversee day-to-day operations by doing the following:
· Direct the church maintenance program by supervising the church custodians, volunteers, and outside contractors.
· Assist with adherence to 501(c)(3) laws and record-keeping, etc.
· Administrate church insurance policies: property, warranties.
· Administrate and oversight of buildings, assets, and grounds.
· Oversee infrastructure improvements or renovations.
· Develop and administer policies and procedures concerning the use of all church properties and facilities.
· Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of M1 assets.
· Coordinate equipment needed for staff and facilities.
· Maintain facility security and safety.
Qualifications
· This person is a spiritually mature Christian, gifted in leadership and administration with strong communication, team leading, and people skills.
· Demonstrates a heart for God and a love for people (Matt 22:37-40).
· Humility in all aspects of leadership.
· Must attend and become a member of M1 Church
Expectations
· Competency: Proficient with technology, spreadsheets, and reading financial statements. Knowledge of Planning Center and Shelby Systems are a plus.
· Prefer candidates to have 2-3 years of practical experience serving in Operations in a church, paid or volunteer.

· Attendance is approximately 350. Change is being embraced and momentum is occurring.
· Culture: A culture of execution with excellence and accountability is being developed.
· We operate the largest daycare in the county. Over 50 employees. Profitable.
· Current combined budget approximately $2,000,000.
Location
· Mansfield is the largest city in the “Mid-Ohio" region of the state with a population of 47,000. There is a population of 225,000 within 20 miles of the church.
