Job Description

Job Position: Technical Director

Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Thursday and Sunday mornings

Salary: $40-50K commensurate with education and job experience

Live Production

Setup, run, maintain, and train volunteers in how to use equipment and software necessary for Sunday morning and special services.

o Direct volunteer team to effectively produce all live services

o Direct live stream of worship services

o Prepare stage for rehearsals, worship services and events

o Assist worship team with tech needs during rehearsals

o Coordinate all lighting scenes and creative elements for the weekly worship services

o Ensure all media is prepared and presentation systems functioning properly

o Oversee and approve set-up of sound and video equipment for events and facility rental

Content Production

Help create gospel centered and engaging weekly content for the church and community.

o Produce weekly announcement video

o Edit and upload weekly sermons to website and social media

o Record and produce weekly Sunday Talks podcast with the pastor

o Produce ministry promotional videos as needed

o Produce graphics and video content for social media accounts

o Create graphics for events ministries

Team Development and Training

o Train, equip and encourage volunteers to serve in tech roles

o Schedule volunteers for Sunday morning and other services

o Schedule volunteers and staff to record weekly announcement video

o Hold Tech Team staff and volunteers to standards of excellence in all team functions. Ensure promptness to meetings and events, team unity, job performance, knowledge growth, etc.

o Create a culture of teamwork and growth through encouragement and accountability

o Cast vision for the future of the Tech Team

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

o General knowledge of Microsoft applications and Apple computer products

o ProPresenter and Planning Center Online

Canva

o General knowledge of stage and theatrical lighting

Lightkey and DMX programming

o General knowledge of audio systems

o Behringer Wing sound console and other sound equipment

o Behringer Powerplay P16 personal monitor system

o Blackmagic live streaming equipment

o General knowledge of video production

o Canon video cameras

o DSLR camera

o Final Cut Pro or other video editing software

o Weekly Podcast recording and production (Logic Pro X, audio interfaces)

Serve with the Technology and Media Committee

o Keep the Committee informed to the direction of the ministry and to needs

o Coordinate with the Committee to ensure all campus technologies are current and performing as expected

o Advise on future purchases and installations of new technology equipment

o Maintain accurate records and performance manuals and all necessary licensing

o Oversee and plan the annual budget for technical equipment
