Kids Pastor

Journey Church Colorado in Castle Rock, Colorado, is looking for a Kids Pastor to join their team. The Kids Pastor will lead the Kids Ministry Team in coordinating all kids programming oversight needs for Journey kids ministries ages birth thru 5th grade and their families in order to help fulfill the mission of Journey Church. This growing church is looking for a collaborative team player who has a passion for partnering with parents and for recruiting and empowering volunteer serve team members.

What you’ll be doing:

• Championing the Kids Ministry ministries, including weekly oversight of Sunday services and Kids Ministry staff.

• Collaborating with the Kids Team to recruit gifted volunteer Kids Serve Team classroom leaders.

• Building relationships with kids and their families and personally interacting with them on an ongoing discipleship basis.

• Collaborating with Kids Team to ensure Bible lessons and curriculum for weekly programming, special events, and camps fulfill the vision of Journey Kids ministry.

What skills you need to have:

• Passion and talent for working with kids in grades K-5th grade.

• Teaching/preaching and public speaking skills, and comfort with teaching about spiritual matters applicable to and engaging for children.

• Ability to work with a team to plan and execute large events and environments.

• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.

• Reliable, trustworthy, and excellent at following through on details.

• The ability to lead leaders, including full time and part time employees, interns and residents. We want to have a culture of leadership development and growth in our teams.

• The ability to identify, train, empower and deploy serve team members.
