Purpose: The role of Lead Pastor at West Fayetteville Baptist Church is to help people fulfill our mission by going passionately into all the world and making fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ!
Leader:
• Develop and communicate the vision and strategy of WFBC
• Invest substantial time into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ
• Develop ministry leaders while putting them in the right positions to carry out the
vision of WFBC
• Invest substantial time into developing personally as a leader and Christ follower
• Provide leadership to the staff and leaders so they can effectively lead
• Provide vision and ultimate oversight of worship experiences
• Develop relationships with community and church leaders
• Lead the process in developing an annual budget in conjunction with the Deacons
Communicator:
• As the primary communicator, teach the Word of God for life change at weekly services
• Arrange for additional communicators as needed
• Prayerfully prepare an annual teaching calendar
West Fayetteville Baptist Church is located in Fayetteville, NC. The City of Fayetteville is a thriving community located in the Sandhills region of southeastern North Carolina and is the seat of Cumberland County. Raleigh, the state’s capital, is approximately 65 miles north of Fayetteville, and Charlotte, a major commercial center, is about 200 miles to the west of the city. Fayetteville is directly adjacent to Fort Bragg, one of the largest military installations in the world. The military base is home to the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as the U.S. Army Special Operations Command and the 3rd Special Forces Group.
