The Lead Pastor of Worship is the primary leader for the vision, strategy, and execution of Pinelake’s overall worship ministry. By shepherding the efforts of Pinelake’s worship and production areas, the Lead Pastor of Worship leads a movement to guide people to learn from Christ, live in Christ, and lead others to Christ.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.

• Assists other staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.

• Basic personal responsibilities:

+ Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation

+ Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).

+ Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

+ Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with leadership in teaching a practical theology and philosophy of worship for Pinelake Church in all aspects of life and ministry.

• Prayer: Lead the way in stewarding and further developing a culture of prayer in the worship staff and worship ministry at large by modeling a life of prayer, and leading prayer times with staff and servant leaders.

• Develop leaders: Multiply yourself and train others to multiply themselves by equipping them to do the work of ministry. Engage in Emotionally healthy conversations in a life-giving way, so leaders grow. Create a culture of Health and learning where leaders naturally grow and mature in Biblical leadership.

• Coach and equip campus worship pastors to lead ministries that are healthy and growing, by collaborating with campus pastors on areas of growth and development.

• Equip and empower people: Provide training, equipping, and resources for people to serve the Pinelake vision and disciple-making strategies in the worship ministry. Provide pastoral care, coaching, and development for musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and those in the worship ministry.

• Build teams: Cast vision that attracts team members and coaches healthy teams across all ages, including Next Gen and College. Create structures and management systems to support the function of teams across multiple locations and ministry environments.

• Plan and organize worship services, ensuring excellence in all aspects of worship experiences across all ages and campus locations.

+ Collaborate with the teaching team in designing series and sermons and executing creative elements that support the teaching objectives.

+ Lead teams of creatives to design and incorporate creative elements into worship experiences that engage the congregation in discovery and worship of God.

+ Ensure the team is empowered and supported.

+ Ensure the Emotional Health of the team in such a way that God's best comes from their time serving in the ministry and leads toward excellence in all areas.

+ Oversee Live Production and the use of technology in music and worship, including, but not limited to, the technology for live experiences and to record or broadcast services to

multiple locations.

+ Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Director of Video and Storytelling to produce the necessary content for services.

+ Lead worship experiences when necessary.

• Create space for the songwriting talent and heart of the worship team to flourish. Oversee the writing and composition of original music with other worshippers and worship teams at Pinelake Church.

• Assist campuses in the planning, monitoring, and executing “pitch count” to ensure a healthy rhythm of serving and rest.

• Manage finances. Build budgets and manage finances related to areas of oversight.

• Other essential duties as requested.
