THE CANDIDATE
The Senior Pastor should demonstrate the biblical qualifications of an elder, including modeling biblical community in his relationships, a biblical family life, and integrity in all aspects of his life. He will lead the church to fulfill the Great Commission, the Great Commandment, and bring glory to God. More practically, he will oversee the church’s facilities, organizational personnel, and volunteer base. He will fill the pulpit most weeks during the year, and he will cast the vision for the church's direction.
Springboro recognizes the need for fresh vision and directional leadership. The right candidate will be someone who can patiently learn about the church and its people before making changes but has the leadership and gospel ambition to lead the church into a new and exciting future.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should have approximately 5-10 years of pastoral experience, including experience as a senior pastor, senior associate, or teaching pastor. He is expected to have a Master's degree, ideally from a Southern Baptist seminary or another conservative seminary. He is expected to affirm the Baptist Faith and Message.
