About Mission Point

Mission Point, formerly Cook Road Baptist Church, was established in 1970. The membership includes all age groups (young families, middle-aged couples, retirees, elderly) and is very friendly, mission-minded, and seeks outreach opportunities in the Mansfield community.

Our mission, “Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples” keeps us focused on what matters most.  While we hold firmly to our biblical doctrine and will never compromise the truth of God’s Word, we don’t let differences in style, preference, or other secondary issues distract us from our calling. We are passionate about loving people and reaching our community and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor are supported by a dedicated and experienced board of deacons and trustees. The church facility is equipped with a sanctuary that comfortably seats 300 people, a gymnasium connected to a large teen worship space, multiple classrooms for both children and adults, and a separate activity building.

For the last two winter seasons, Mission Point has opened our facility to host the Upward Basketball ministry. Weekly worship services include a Sunday School hour for both children and adults, a Sunday morning service with a separate children’s ministry, Small Groups on Sunday evening, and a Wednesday night service with a separate children’s ministry. The Sunday morning worship service includes a time of praise and worship, blending contemporary songs of worship with some hymns, followed by the pastor’s message.
