Worship Leader

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Worship Pastor’s primary responsibility is to engage The Pointe Church into meaningful Christ centered worship on a weekly basis. The Worship Pastor will be responsible for overseeing the worship team and encouraging their personal growth (spiritually and musically). He or she will work along side of the leadership of The Pointe Church to ensure that the overall vision of the church is being fulfilled through each department under his/her supervision.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Artistry

    -Music Director

    -Vocal Director

    -Visual Arts Director

         -Stage design, visual art, etc. 

    -Arts Training/Education

2. Service Production

    -Worship Leaders

    -Music Director

    -Tech Director & Crew

        -Audio, Lights, Video, Props/Stage

3. Discipleship, worship oriented

    -Artistry Focused for worship team members

    -'Pursuit' Focused for non-members

    -Arts Training/Education

    -Community Director

         -Building community and intimacy within the worship dept.

         - Sharing resources with other bodies

4. Outreach 

    -Service Projects

    -Community Director

    -Media Production

         -Audio, Video, Literature, etc.

    -Event Production & Participation

         -Classes, Conferences, Sessions, etc.

    -International

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL:

1. Participate in public services and activities of the church in the community.
2. Participate in pastoral and hospital visitation as assigned.
3. Participate in church outreach programs, including encouragement and leadership of members in outreach.
4. Maintain a vibrant faith and love relationship with Christ through personal Bible study, prayer, service and self-improvement.
5. Pursue a program of personal growth and development through programs and extended education as available.
