Worship Pastor

Westlake Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, is in search of their next Worship Pastor. Their vision is to see the community transformed by the love and power of Jesus. The next Worship Pastor will have a unique opportunity to help envision and build the future at Westlake. This person will lead all things creative and have the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead in a pastoral capacity to the church as well in partnership with the Lead Pastor.

What you’ll be doing:

• Creating passionate, encouraging, engaging worship sets for the weekend

• Creating a system to recruit, train, equip, and coach your team

• Being a pastor to your teams

• Owning the church’s vision, mission, and strategy

• Developing a calendar for weekend and event worship planning

What skills you need to have:

• A growing and contagious personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• A leader of leaders who is able to cultivate and reproduce other worship leaders

• Someone with strong interpersonal skills that exude a positive attitude

• Able to self-motivate and make independent decisions

• An effective coach who equips and pastors worship and tech teams

• A solid grasp of band dynamics, worship environment production, and ministry teamwork in a worship team setting

They are located in the best of both worlds, with the downtown core 15 minutes away, and plenty of countrysides with outdoor recreation nearby. The church is a mile outside of the main beltway on the west side of town, giving great highway access for those who attend. Our local neighborhood is diverse and vibrant, a community mix of first-time homebuyers and those who have been around for a while. We are near immigrant communities and suburban communities. It is a unique place in an economically-booming city.
