Senior Minister

Under the direction of the Elders the Minister will be responsible to oversee and lead

the worship and spiritual growth of the members. To provide guidance to the ministry teams

as needed and other such resource services as agreed between the Minister and the Elders.

Started in 1843 First Church of Christ in Painesville, Ohio, is a congregation that is becoming age and ethnically diverse. Our mission is to help people take their next steps with Jesus. We are a congregation of around 120 where a family-based ministry and having an impact in the area is important. Our average attendance is 80-85 plus a similar number online. Painesville is the home of Lake Erie College a school of around 1200 students, situated directly across from our site. Painesville itself has twenty-three surrounding communities with opportunities for growth both because of the proximity to Cleveland and the attraction of new businesses to this area.
