This individual is passionate about freedom business and the potential of Christ-centered business to be an instrument of transformation in the lives of those affected by sexual exploitation. They are enthusiastic about driving experimentation, strategy, and execution of sales growth initiatives across multiple sales channels—online retail, wholesale, consignment, and more. This individual is excited to evaluate and experiment with new strategies; ready to research, learn, and try new things; skilled in forging and cultivating new relationships; and excellent in mobilizing and leading others to help scale NightLight’s freedom business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales and marketing initiatives that drive growth of NightLight Collection sales in the U.S. market. Continuously evaluate sales and marketing strategies and initiatives, and leverage analysis to inform go-forward strategies.
- Evaluate and cultivate success in existing sales channels and relationships, including online retail, wholesale, Ambassador channels, and more.
- Identify and pursue new sales channels and relationships, and proactively experiment with new opportunities or new initiatives related to existing opportunities.
- Collaborate with NightLight Collection marketing resources on strategies to grow NightLight Collection’s market exposure, sales, and customer engagement across various channels.
- Collaborate with NightLight Design (in Bangkok) and other stakeholders on new product designs and releases, and ensure completion of all US-based work for these design/release cycles.
- Mobilize and lead a team to assist with execution of sales strategies, customer service, and business operations. This includes execution of online order processing; NightLight’s Ambassador program; wholesale orders & relationships; in-person sales events; back-office operations such as inventory, purchasing, new collection releases, store site maintenance & upgrades, etc.
- Continually stay abreast of industry trends and sales models to inspire new thinking and experimentation.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with the NightLight team as a whole in loving those we serve, pointing others to the ultimate love of God, and cultivating opportunities to invite them into relationship with him.
- Oversee continuous product and sales analysis to inform product lifecycles and sales strategies.
- Represent NightLight Collection at events or as opportunities arise to share about the powerful story behind the products, the beautiful products created by NLC artisans, and how others can get involved.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Quick learner with technology, including e-commerce platforms, social media and other online platforms, etc.
- Passion for research, experimentation, and learning
- Sensitivity to complexities of cross-cultural business and relationships and a heart to honor the cultural context within which NightLight works; humility to be a learner of other cultures
- Passion for freedom business and its role in anti-trafficking and ministry, as well as love and compassion for individuals
- Ability to work well under pressure and in an ever-changing environment; excited to try new things
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
- This position is full-time (30 – 40 hrs per week) with in-office hours falling primarily Mon – Fri in our Missouri office.
- Ability to travel both to Bangkok, Thailand, (occasionally) for learning and collaboration, and to travel locally/regionally (occasionally) for sales or ministry events.
- Ability to accommodate periodic evening or weekend events that require participation, and some evening virtual meetings with NightLight team members in Bangkok, Thailand.
- Ongoing learning on the issues of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, freedom businesses, trauma-informed working environments, business growth, cross-cultural collaboration, etc.
