REQUIREMENTS:

·      A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as demonstrated through their lifestyle, subject to the interpretation of the senior leadership.

·      A humble, team player committed to the success, health, and growth of LifePoint Church above personal ambitions.

·      This person shall have made the discipleship commitments to weekly worship at and tithing to LifePoint Church.

·      A thorough understanding of and experience with the Deep and Wide and Simple Church models, as expressed through our Intentional Growth Plan/Great Commission Engine.

·      An exceptional ability to communicate clearly.

·      The ability to receive honest feedback, and make adjustments or corrections if necessary. A willingness to be held accountable to goals and objectives.

·      Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.

POSITION STATUS

·      Full Time (50 hours a week)


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ultimately responsible for the overall leadership of the Kidz and Youth Ministry at LifePoint. Focused on creating, implementing, assessing, and innovating a consistent vision for Kidz and Youth. This role includes leading the Family Life staff, serving the parents of kids and students, and informing the broader community of childhood, adolescent and emerging adult issues.

 

1. Creating and implementing a consistent, comprehensive vision for Kids and Youth Ministries

·      Engaging and overseeing Kids and Youth Ministry Staff in the development of theological and developmentally sound curriculum and programming

·      Carefully aligning the vision for Kids and Youth Ministry with the larger missional identity and purposes of LifePoint Church

·      Representing the Kids and Youth Ministry and its vision to staff, volunteers, and parents

·      Leading, planning and facilitating regular/weekly Family Life team meetings

 

2. Leading, coaching, and developing the Kids and Student Ministry staff (paid & volunteer)

·      Investing in each staff member individually and as a team, providing vision and direction

·      Regularly evaluate individual performance in informal conversation and formal performance reviews, providing opportunities for growth, training and coaching in areas where necessary

·      Leading individuals/team through necessary change, managing the process and expectations

·      Participating in signature Kidz and Youth programs and events

·      Collaborating with age-specific pastors in volunteer training events for Kidz and Youth ministries

·      Training staff members to develop and lead high functioning teams

·      Coaching staff members in pastoral and relational approaches to ministry

·      Leading efforts to recruit, connect, and shepherd volunteers serving in the ministry

·      Overseeing and maintaining budgeted resources for both the Kidz and Youth Ministry

 

3. Participating as a fully invested member of the larger LifePoint Teams

·      Collaborating with LifePoint Pastors and Staff in the ongoing development and refinement of organizational vision, mission, key strategies, and values

·      Working closely with Youth and Young Adult Ministries to ensure care during transitions into emerging adulthood toward young adulthood

·      Providing pastoral care, crisis management, crisis intervention, and resource connection

·      Availability and presence on Sundays, providing proactive, responsive leadership and care

 

4. Leading in the oversight and creation of opportunities for parents of kids and students

·      Setting vision, goals and expectations of ministries for parents of kids and students

·      Collaborating to lead, create and facilitate life/faith milestone experiences for kids and parents (i.e., child dedication, baptism, parenting classes, etc.)

·      Assist with any other duties, ministry tasks as requested/assigned
