Children's Director

We are looking for a Children’s Director to disciple and care for children, their families, and the volunteers who work with them. This person will have experience in leading volunteers and implementing a vision for a children’s ministry for birth – 5th grade children. We are looking for someone that is outgoing, energetic, loves meeting new people, and able to multi task.

This position will also have some overall church administrative tasks associated with it.

Children’s Director

Children:

Scheduling and recruiting volunteers for Sunday morning and Wednesday night services.

Responsible for editing and distributing Sunday morning curriculum to volunteers.

Responsible for production of Wednesday night children’s service and activities.

Maintaining an accurate roll of all children attending Sunday and Wednesday services.

Following up with families that have missed multiple weeks and remaining connected with them.

Decision counseling and baptism follow up.

Attend outside activities that children are active in (sports, school programs, dance, etc…)

Volunteers:

Recruit and coach new children’s volunteers.

Regular communication and training with all volunteers.

Ensure all volunteers feel valued and appreciated.

Parents:

Love on parents and families, not just their children.

Communicate to parents on upcoming events and necessary information on a regular basis.

Resourcing parents on major life events (family dedication, salvation, baptism, etc…)

Administrative:

Maintain Planning Center database and make sure it is up to date.

Follow up and assimilation of new families and guests.

Facilitate weekly email communication with all church families.

Maintain church calendar and verify website is current.
