Music Minister

The Music Minister is responsible for planning and executing all aspects of the music program with the support of the Senior Pastor. The Minister of Music would be responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and executing all music ministries including, but not limited to: Chancel Choir, Hand Bell Choir, Worship Band, and Children’s Choir.

This individual is responsible for providing special choral and instrumental music for all worship services, special programs, and other activities, where such music is desirable throughout the year. We are looking for individuals proficient in playing the piano and organ and can conduct vocal and handbell choirs. This Music Minister will also help lead the Worship Band.

The Music Minister may also offer music lessons to people in the community, and assist in the music programs at the public schools, Community Colleges, or local theaters.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with benefits.

We are a congregation of around 125 in-person worshipers and 75 online worshipers. Our church was established in 1830. We recently separated from the United Methodist Church and joined the Global Methodist denomination. We are a conservative church that passionately loves the Lord and loves people. We are actively involved in missions and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the world. We offer many small groups (Men's Groups, Women's Groups, Young Adult Groups, Youth Group, more).

We also offer a traditional worship service at 9:00 AM and a Modern Worship Service at 11:00 AM. We currently have a Chancel Choir, a Handbell Choir that enhances our worship times at the traditional service, and a church Worship Band that leads the music at the Modern service.

St. Joseph is a small town right on Lake Michigan with an excellent school system, beautiful beaches and parks, and many wonderful restaurants and shops to enjoy. It's a great place to live or raise a family!
