Position: DC3 Worship & Production Director

Status: full-time, salary

Summary: This role is responsible for creating a weekend environment that allows attendees to experience the manifest presence of the Lord through spiritually prepared music and people and provide primary oversight of tech team and ministry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Focus Area #1 – Leadership Development and Volunteer Oversight – 20%

o   Invest in worship and tech area staff and leaders, who in turn invest in other leaders.  

o   Participate in Creative Team meetings and staff meetings.

o   Scheduling Worship and Pro Team members in Planning Center.

o   Be present at Thursday night weekend service rehearsals.

 

  • Focus Area #2 – Worship – 30%

o   Help choose music, worship & specials for weekend services & Encounter services

o   Work with other worship team leaders & creative team to create set lists for the weekend to support sermons/teachings.

o   Audition new applicants & follow up with them.

o   Provide opportunities to develop greater musicians & worshippers through classes, and productive worship rehearsals

o   Musically direct rehearsals and weekend services. ( the goal is to develop capable leaders)

 

 

  • Focus Area #3 – Technical Production – 40%

 

o   Oversee Weekend service video production team including Video Directors and Camera Operators.

o   Ensure that all video equipment is functioning properly.

o   Ensure that ProPresenter is ready to go each weekend for our volunteer team.

o   Work on video file storage management (i.e. archived services, creative elements to YouTube, etc.)

o   Assist with the planning process for video projects and the capture and editing of footage for video projects

o   Oversee programming of lighting and lighting operators.

o   Assist with the creation of lighting scenes for the weekend and youth services (including fixture placement)

o   Learn to and perform maintenance on fixtures.

o  Oversee execution of streaming of weekend services, including RESI scheduling with various streaming platforms, ie. Facebook, Youtube, Church Online Platform, etc.., broadcast audio.

o  Oversee broadcast audio engineer team. 

o   Work with MDs and audio engineers to ensure quality audio experience.

o   Assist with the setup and management of our audio systems.

o   Help capture audio for projects and learn to post mix.

o    

·        Focus Area #4 – General Creative – 10%

o   Participate in the process of planning weekend services and events.

o   Assist in the creation of stage related construction (set changes).

o   Assist in the organization of backstage, side storage room, and electrical room.

 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • A strong desire to lead people into a lifelong relationship with Jesus and disciple them in their journey.
  • Experience building volunteer teams.
  • Organizational, creative, and administrative skills.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills—a “people” person.
  • Ability to release and empower staff and volunteers to carry out ministry tasks, providing training for the tasks, and holding them accountable.
  • Self-starter—able to motivate self to carry on sometimes difficult or thankless tasks.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365/Office Suite or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and worship service planning.

Preferred:

·        Experience using CCB software or equivalent in a ministry setting.

·        Experience using ProPresenter and Planning Center.

·        Experience with video switching, Jands Vista, and RESI.

·        Experience using Ableton.

·        Experience with Apple/Mac products.

·        Musical/Vocal Experience
