Worship Leader

The Worship Leader works with and under the direction of the Pastor, while leading the Worship Ministry and Raymond Christian Fellowship (RCF). Working with the Holy Spirit this person will plan, design, coordinate and facilitate a collective worship experience. The Worship Leader will have to understand the Scripture and the church culture to provide a Worship Ministry that provide opportunity for individual and collective spiritual growth at RCF. The RCF Worship Leader is a part-time position that falls under the status of clergy for tax purposes. The position is rated for 10-12 hours per week with that including about four hours on Sunday morning. Regular participation in planning meetings and coordination with the Pastor is required. Availability for funerals, weddings and special events may be requested at additional compensation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the music portion of the Worship Service

Coordinate musicians for the Worship Service

Provide the needed music sheets for the musicians

Plan, introduce and practice new music

Operate the sound system as needed

Build and provide lyrics slides in Power Point (or other used app) for the Worship Service slides

Lead the Worship Team in prayer as well as rehearsals

Play traditional and contemporary worship music as guided by the Pastor and Deacons

Qualifications:

The Worship Leader must be a follower of Jesus Christ. The Worship Leader needs to adhere to the beliefs of RCF laid out in our constitution and listed on our website: Our Beliefs - Raymond Christian Fellowship. Our Mission Statement will need to guide any leader at RCF; “We exist to guide people of our community to become mature followers of Jesus Christ.” In addition, the Worship Leader needs the following abilities:

Play one or more: guitar, keyboard or piano

Lead vocal worship

Develop and encourage musical skills and or gifts of the church

Incorporate the musical gifts of the church into Sunday services

Most importantly have a desire to bring a heart of worship to each service

Compensation:

$200-250 per week

Raymond Christian Fellowship is a small country church in the heart of Southeast Wisconsin. Our desire is to grow our community in their faith in Jesus Christ. We have a long history of teaching the scriptures as a church with a Baptist heritage. We do not belong to any denomination, but consider ourselves a Baptist church.
