Job Description

OVERVIEW:

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the church office. This person must be in agreement with our statement of faith.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Oversees guest experience, assisting guests, and answering phone/emails

  • Manages the facility/equipment calendar and liaises with facility occupants

  • Manages relationships with vendors, service providers, and inspectors

  • Oversees office systems, including climate, mailing, phone, and security systems

  • Receives all office mail/deliveries and sorts them into internal mailboxes

  • Enters all invoices, bills, and reimbursement requests into billing system

  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and current

  • Purchases supplies for ministry leaders and the facility as needed

  • Manages the office credit card

  • Assists in drafting and distributing announcements/updates to the congregation

  • Assists in drafting and managing church forms, event sign ups and other church systems

  • Oversees the background check process

  • Assists in managing the church volunteer schedule and church attendance records

  • Creates, collates and distributes reports, letters, certificates, etc. as needed

  • Participates in staff meetings, trainings and other required meetings

  • Participate actively in planning and execution of church events

  • Remains updated on technical and professional knowledge

  • Provides administrative assistance to the Lead Pastor

  • Performs other duties the Lead Pastor requests

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Church Community Builder skills (PushPay’s church management software), preferred

  • 2-5 years of proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience in a church setting

PERSONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Model a strong personal integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and dependability

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discernment

  • Regularly attend services and join membership of Celebration International Church

  • Comfort in providing prayer support to guests in person or over the phone

  • Ability to pass criminal background check
