Position Summary
This supported position is responsible for overseeing MFI’s human resource functions, policies, and activities to help ensure successful implementation of our stated mission
Essential Functions
1. Collaborates and partners with MFI’s leadership to understand our goals and strategies related to recruiting, selecting and retaining staff members
2. Responsible for advertising/marketing for open positions, screening, coordinating internal interview process and hiring candidates for open positions
3. Handles reference checking, background and drug testing of applicants
4. Counsels/coaches leadership on staff issues and concerns
5. Ensures MFI follows applicable federal, state and local employment laws
6. Maintains/updates MFI’s “Employee Handbook” as needed
7. Coordinates the organization’s voluntary insurance program (AFLAC)
8. Responsible for identifying/coordinating staff training opportunities and programs
9. Responsible for handling MFI’s car insurance program and maintaining the “approved driver” list with the insurance company
10. Oversees/participates in staff disciplinary meetings, terminations, and/or investigations
11. Coordinates onboarding process for new staff members
12. Handles PRIA requests and pilot information updates (for chief pilot) as needed
13. Performs other duties as needed or requested

5. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
6. Proficient in MS Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience
1. Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field
2. At least five (5) years prior HR experience
3. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience; SHRM certification a plus
Physical Requirements
1. Prolonged periods sitting working on computer
2. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and routinely lift up to 15-20 pounds
