ABOUT THE POSITION

The Associate Pastor of Worship Arts and Technology will be devoted to the spiritual and numerical growth of our church through the ministry of Biblical worship and the digital resources available to the church for ministry development and communication. He will plan and implement the Sunday morning worship experience by providing direction and leadership for the music and technical teams and ministries. He will seek to recruit new people to the worship ministry, making provisions for any training as needed. He will also plan and execute worship services for special holidays and events as required. He will continually develop the ministry of our church through the effective use of technology for live-streaming, social media, and administrative functions. He will assist the Youth/Children’s Pastor in the development of his worship ministry, providing training and guidance as needed.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

1. Directly accountable to the Senior Pastor in all responsibilities.


2. Regularly meet with the Senior Pastor to plan the Sunday morning services which will include the weekly selection of worship music.


3. Regularly lead music with worship teams on Sunday mornings.


4. Schedule music and tech teams and facilitate weekly rehearsals. Prepare all music for music team members each week and maintain the music library.


5. Provide oversight for the tech ministry offering recommendations that would improve or upgrade the equipment as needed.


6. Identify, recruit, train, and equip people to be a part of the worship and technology ministries.


7. Assist the Senior Pastor in the planning, facilitating, and/or recruiting of those who would facilitate fellowship and/or facilitate outreach opportunities for the church and community.


8. Oversee the spending of budgets for all worship and technology ministries.


9. Maintain, update, and troubleshoot the technology resources for our administrative team and recommend improvements and upgrades to systems and equipment.


10. Planning and Execution: Will develop annual budgets, goals, and strategies for his areas of responsibility with the input of the Senior Pastor and Council of Elders, and provide clear communication with regards to progress, results, and obstacles.


11. Accomplish any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Pastor.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Has a solid and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.


2. Meets the description of an overseer/elder in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-16.


3. Agrees with Bible Baptist Church’s Statement of Faith and Constitution.


4. At least TWO years of ministry experience working with music and technology ministry preferred.


5. Any higher educational learning or academic degrees in music would also be a plus.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Teachable, loyal, team-player, and energetic.


2. Can foster the leading of worship (as opposed to simply performing) with all team members.


3. Has strong vocal ability to lead in a variety of worship settings. Is a guitar player or pianist that can regularly lead and participate with the worship team.


4. Has knowledge of instrumentation, vocal, technical skills, and/or equipment that are needed for the worship ministry.


5. Can contribute creative thinking towards the planning of worship services.


6. Punctual, prompt, and organized.


7. Sociable, outgoing, and great communication skills.
