The Granbury Production Director plays a key role in serving the church’s ministries by ensuring that all technical aspects of church services, events, & related activities are executed with excellence. This role is vital in enhancing the worship experience for both in-person and online attendees by managing audio, video, lighting, stage setup, and live streaming. The Granbury Production Director will collaborate closely with the worship team, communications team, volunteers, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their specific needs and provide support that aligns with the church's mission & values. By fostering strong communication and teamwork, the Granbury Production Director ensures that all technical elements align with the broader vision set by the Central Production Team in collaboration with the Executive Team and Lead Pastor.

Key Responsibilities

Stage Setup & Management:

  • Assist with setting up & tearing down stage equipment for church services & events, including microphones, instruments, monitors, & other technical gear.
  • Support Worship & Creative Teams by working closely with worship leaders and communicators to create an atmosphere that enhances worship and teaching.
  • Plan and execute weekly production needs, including stage setup, media preparation, and rehearsals.

Sound Management

  • Support the setup, operation, & maintenance of sound equipment for church services & events, including audio consoles, microphones, & speakers.
  • Assist the audio engineering team in ensuring high-quality sound production for services and events

Lighting Management

  • Manage setup, programming, & operation of lighting equipment for services & events.
  • Create & implement lighting designs that enhance the worship experience & align with the church's vision.
  • Troubleshoot & resolve any lighting-related issues during live productions.
  • Maintain and repair lighting fixtures

Video & Live Streaming:

  • Assist with setup & operation of video & live streaming equipment for services & events.
  • Ensure camera opps are trained to produce a quality audio and video stream for broadcast
  • Ensure broadcast audio is consistently monitored and continually improved for quality and clarity.

Church Service & Event Production:

  • Oversee all technical aspects, including audio, video, lighting, stage setup, & live streaming.
  • Oversee for Granbury campus events and ministries and provide support to the central production team for all campus events
  • Coordinate & manage setup, operation, & teardown of technical equipment.
  • Ensure all technical elements are executed with excellence, consistent with church vision & standards.

Volunteer Coordination:

  • Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of production volunteers to operate audio, video, and lighting for worship services and events.
  • Develop & implement training programs to ensure volunteers are proficient in operating technical equipment.
  • Schedule volunteers for services & events, ensuring adequate coverage & support.
  • Create an environment where the team is discipled, supported, and spiritually nurtured.

Qualifications

Core Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in technical production management, preferably in a church or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of general audio, video, lighting, live streaming equipment, & systems including QLab, ProPresenter, PVP, Vista, Ableton Live, DMX protocols & Dante.
  • Proficient in using equipment such as Vista lighting console & software, Allen & Heath DLive/SQ consoles, Black Magic switchers & camera systems, & wireless systems by Shure & Sennheiser.
  • Keep all production equipment functional, troubleshoot technical issues, and plan for future upgrades.

Leadership & Management Skills:

  • Excellent leadership & team management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams, ministry leaders, & volunteers.

Problem-Solving & Communication:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal + written, active listening, direct & clear).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (positive attitude, integrity, teachable, team mindset).
  • Quick to clear up relationships.

Flexibility & Commitment:

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, & holidays as needed.
  • Familiarity with worship service planning & execution.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze situations, make informed decisions, & provide solution-oriented approaches.

WORK HOURS: Hours will vary as the needs of the campuses vary. Must understand that ministry does not always fall within a normal 8:00a-4:00p schedule and working outside of that schedule including weekends and holidays for StoneWater Church events may be required.
