Piano or Organ Player

Overview:

Addison Congregational Church is small country church that services all ages in the community through the preaching and teaching of the God's word. The main service is on Sunday. In addition, there is a worship service on Wednesdays, and 5 Bible studies throughout the week that serve youth, teens, men, and women. The church is a place for worship, learning, and encouragement that is to equip each individual for their personal calling to service the Lord. We currently have a pastor that sings and plays guitar-based, worship songs and we are looking to add to our music program with the playing of classic hymns.

Role Description:

Hymn accompaniment on piano or organ.

1x Sunday/mnth 3 Hymnal Songs

2x Sundays/mnth Prelude and Postlude

Must be a Christian.

Must be able to read music.

The main responsibilities for this position is for a competent and steady play of classic hymns that are in our pew hymnals. This can be accomplished with a piano or an electric organ. Your choice. The time responsibility is from 10:00am to 11:45am on Sundays. Prelude starts at 10:25. Service starts at 10:30am and usually goes for one hour. Excess time is for sound check and warm up. Song selection is decided beforehand and can be provided up to a month in advance. Your performance on Sundays are scheduled a full quarter in advance and travel or blackout dates will be respected if requested in a timely manner.

$150 for a 3x Hymn Sunday, $100 for a Prelude and Postlude Sunday. $400/mnth

Payment comes in the form of check, if a long term contract is established then direct deposit is available.

Additional Opportunities:

-Extra pay will be added if you can sing with the hymns. (+$50)

-Extra Sundays, Wednesdays, or special events will be at the same rate as the normal responsibilities.

Contract is at-will.
