The youth coordinator has a strong Christian faith and practice (United Methodist tradition preferred); experience working with youth; and strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. The position actively engages with youth and parents, empowers youth in ministry, and empowers SUMC adults in ministry with youth.

The youth coordinator will plan and lead weekly in-person youth gatherings, including Bible study, fellowship, worship, and service activities during the school year, usually on Sundays from 4:30pm to 6pm. In collaboration with the Youth Team and other SUMC ministries, the youth coordinator will identify, plan, and coordinate additional activities (in person and virtual) that engage the youth in the life of the church and the community throughout the year.

This is a per diem hourly position that reports to the Pastor.
